August 27 - Flight to Nairobi, Kenya

Today was an easy day for Mary and a headache for Paul.  She spent time on photos and packing.  He spent nearly 4 hours working on all of the final paperwork needed for our trip to Nairobi.

When he was finally done around 1:00 we headed down for lunch.  While crossing the lobby we were hailed by Francis who was wearing a Natural Habitat t-shirt.  Apparently NatHab had a tour starting and he was one of a couple of tour guides.  We toured with NatHab when we saw the polar bears in Churchill Canada.  It’s a good group.

In the afternoon we finished all of our packing and were picked up just before 5:00 for our transfer to the airport.  We got there with scads of time to spare and spent most of it in the Business Class lounge.  Very comfortable.

It was after dark when the plane took off so we could see nothing of Uganda or Kenya on the hour plus flight.  The plane got in early so it took a while before our transfer driver arrived.  We are staying at the BOMA hotel, very nice…like a larger Western hotel.  After puttering around we were in bed by 12:30am.  What a great trip to Uganda.
