This morning we left at 6:00 in the other driver’s car, went to the riverside where we took a private boat across and proceeded from there. Such a lot of work to get across the river.
We drove out to Queen Elizabeth National Park just in time
to see a pretty spectacular sunrise.
After getting all of the paperwork done we headed into the park with Francis as our game drive guide. We saw many animals that we have seen earlier in the park including Cape Buffalo,
warthogs,
and Kobs.

The main goal today is to find lions and we found a few. A lioness and her cubs
and a male lion hanging with a female. Francis said that they were taking a break from mating.
Also saw lots of safari vehicles.
We also saw a lone elephant from a distance.
Some of the birds we saw included a Palm Nut Vulture
Tawny Eagle
Guinea Fowl
Senegal Lapwing
Black Billed Bustard
Crowned Plover
Grey Heron
and Water Thick Knee.

Some of the other animals we saw included waterbucks
and a large number of Hippos buried in a mud wallow. They looked quite content.

Our route eventually took us to a salt lake where that
animals use for as a salt lick. Often
there are flamingos here as well. There
were neither animals nor flamingos at the lake.
There was a small, colorful market at the salt flat overlook.
We took a very off the beaten path back to the ferry where we jumped the line again and made it across the channel. One of the trucks on the ferry had a bunch of fish hanging from the rack. How strange.
We spent a little time wandering around our resort. It is very pretty with great views.
